
Two persons have been killed, why many kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Kogi State.
It was reliably gathered that, one of the deceased victim identified as Nicholas Ofodile, is the owner of Chucks Supermarket Lokoja, Kogi State.
Ofodile met is untimely death when there was a gun duel between the armed bandit and men of the special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, who made attempt to rescue him.
The incident according to a source, occurred along Gegu/Koton Karfe in Kogi Local Government of the state on Wednesday between 12noon to 1Pm.
The source hinted that, the suspected armed bandit who were operating freely but later incepted by SARS, succeeded in whisking many passenger plying the ever busy Abuja/Lokoja road into an unknown destination
It was further learnt that, the armed bandit where armed to the teeth with sophisticated weapon.
The incident is coming barely one week when eight police men were killed in Isanlu robbery attack.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Aya confirmed the incident saying,” I just got a call that the owner of Chucks Supermarket has been killed alongside one other person. The command is yet to get details of what happened”.
